Choosing where to collect

Choose your collection point on the deals page or at checkout. Tap Find collection points near me to see the closest ones. Your location is used on your phone only and is not sent to us. Each product page shows where it can be collected and whether it is already on the shelf there.

When it is ready

Once you have paid, you get a collection code and QR code on your order page. We let you know when the collection point has packed your order. Go during the collection point's opening hours, shown on your order.

At the collection point

Show your QR code or read out your order number and code. Check your products before you leave: if anything is damaged or missing, say so there and report it on your order page. Each code works once. After 3 wrong codes the order is locked for your safety, and we unlock it when you contact us at info@buybydate.co.za or 073 780 3476.

If someone collects for you, give them your order number and code.

Collect-by date

Your order page shows the last day you can collect. It depends on the products in the order:

• Best-before products can be collected up to 2 days after the earliest best-before date in the order.
• Use-by products must be collected before their use-by date. We never hand over a product on or after its use-by date.

If you do not collect in time, we cancel the order and refund it as set out in our returns and refunds policy.
