Terms of sale
These terms apply when you buy on BuyByDate. They do not take away any of your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
Who you are buying from
BuyByDate is run by Bazingold Group (Pty) Ltd. Each product is supplied by the brand, wholesaler or shop named on the product page, and Bazingold Group (Pty) Ltd sells it to you on that supplier's behalf. Your tax invoice is issued by Bazingold Group (Pty) Ltd, trading as BuyByDate.
Products and dates
Our products are genuine, and many are close to their date. Every product page shows whether the date is a best-before date or a use-by date. Best before is about quality: the product is at its best until that date and is still safe to eat after it if stored as the pack says. Use by is about safety, and we never hand over a product on or after its use-by date.
A product comes off sale the day before its date.
Prices
Prices are in rand and include VAT where it applies. Prices fall as a product's date gets closer, so a price can change between visits. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
A service fee of R 5.00 is added to each order and shown before you pay.
Placing and paying for an order
When you place an order we set the stock aside for you for 30 minutes while you pay. If payment does not go through in that time, the order is cancelled and the stock goes back on sale.
You pay online through our payment provider, Ozow, by card, instant EFT or Capitec Pay. Your card and bank details go straight to the payment provider: BuyByDate never sees or stores them. The order is confirmed once payment is received, and we send you a collection code and tax invoice.
Collection
Orders are collected from the collection point you choose at checkout. There is no delivery. See collecting your order for when and how.
Cancelling, returns and refunds
See returns and refunds, including what happens if a product is damaged, wrong or missing, or if you cannot collect.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. Your collection code works once, for the order it belongs to; anyone who has it can collect the order, so share it only with someone you send to collect for you.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, contact us at info@buybydate.co.za or 073 780 3476 and we will try to put it right. If we cannot agree, you can take the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission. South African law applies to these terms.
